SALTO XS4 product line
Electronic escutcheon
The SALTO XS4 escutcheon can be installed in place of a standard mechanical escutcheon without the need for wiring or extensive alterations to the door structure. The handle is released electronically and the door opened only after an authorised ID has been detected at the reader head on the escutcheon. Once the door has shut and locked again, the handle can no longer be operated from the outside. These escutcheons thus offer optimum convenience for opening doors – users simply identify themselves, turn the handle and they're inside. A key factor in the escutcheon design was to ensure compatibility with lock types used on the European market. The range also features special designs for glass doors. The battery compartment for three standard batteries is located in the protected, inside section.
Different finishes and handle designs
Wall reader
The wall reader solution can be used when escutcheons cannot be fitted, or if you require online-offline control for a door opener or a motorised cylinder. In a similar way to a switch range, the components in the wall reader range form an integrated module system – for both flush-mounted and surface-mounted installation. There are numerous available combinations and the system can feature a code keypad or not, as required. Installation is incredibly easy. Security frames are available for use in vulnerable areas.
Wall readers are also available in a particularly slim and elegant design – ideal in locations where space is limited or installation is difficult (e.g. for lift controls, two-leaf doors).
Multi-purpose i-Locker bolt lock - perfect for lockers and booths
The i-Locker bolt lock can be integrated where there is a SALTO XS4 system. It is simple and uncomplicated to use:
- identify yourself
- turn the colour display from red to green
- the locker can be opened
The 'sandwich security' design guards against tampering and vandalism. The control electronics and the batteries are found in the protected inner section. Attempted break-ins from the outside, e.g. through hitting, do not affect the inner section.
